Information You Submit
Search forms send the name, telephone number, or address you enter to the outside provider that delivers the results. Pierce County People Search does not save a separate copy of those searches on its servers. When you contact us, we receive the details you decide to include and use them to answer your message.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems create routine logs that may include an IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. We review this information in aggregate to maintain the service and learn which resources visitors use. Cookies or comparable technologies may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where those functions apply.
How Information Is Used
The limited information described above supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and content improvement. We do not sell visitor lists or assemble individual user profiles.
Links to Outside Services
Links may lead to Pierce County offices, Washington agencies, courts, library collections, and outside search services. Information submitted after following a link is controlled by the destination's privacy terms, not this policy. The same distinction applies to sponsored search results supplied by a third-party company.
Who May Receive Information
Vendors that host or support the service may process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners can receive the automatic data already described. We may disclose available information when valid legal process requires it, but otherwise do not share visitor information.
Safeguarding Visitor Data
An encrypted connection delivers the site. Server logs are kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes stated above. Because visitors do not create accounts, the service holds no user password or account profile that could be exposed.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. Contact us if you believe a minor submitted such information, and we will remove it.
Your Privacy Choices
Your location may give you rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data held by a website. Washington's My Health My Data Act, chapter 19.373 RCW, grants rights concerning consumer health data, including consent and deletion rights, but it is not a general right to erase accurate court or deed records. Because we retain little visitor data, a request will usually involve checking contact messages and available server logs. Submit one through the Contact page. Records maintained by Pierce County or Washington agencies are outside our control. Requests about them must go to the custodian and remain subject to chapter 42.56 RCW, court rules, and record-specific privacy laws.
Changes to This Policy
Any revised policy will be published here. Using the service after an update takes effect signifies acceptance of the revised terms.
